Welcome to the International Centre for Nursing Ethics website

ICNE is based in the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences at the University of Surrey, Guildford, UK. It enables those engaged in all aspects of nursing ethics - empirical and philosophical - across the globe to collaborate on research and scholarship. In addition to initiating and promoting international research, the Centre also hosts an annual conference, regular ethics seminars and a post-graduate professional ethics summer school (the next will run in July 2010.

This ICNE web-site provides opportunities for sharing information (via the Ethicists Network and Links pages), for discussion and debate (see the ICNE Blog page) and for updates on ICNE research and activities (see the Events, Research and Nursing Ethics pages.

I hope you will become a regular visitor to the site and that you will also submit news items and issues for discussion and debate.
